Preparing Yourself and Your Team for Returning to Work in the New Normal

Understanding neuroscience for dealing with anxiety and change to support and motivate your workforce

As lockdown restrictions begin to be eased across the UK and Ireland, many employers and workforces are starting to think about returning from furlough and looking ahead to returning to the office, and starting to work in the ‘new normal’.

In this stimulating and fascinating online event, we will hear from mental health expert and hypnotherapist Miranda Robarts-Arnold, who will discuss the neuroscience of how the brain and body deal with stress and anxiety, to help give you an understanding of what you and your workforce may be experiencing returning to work following the Covid-19 lockdown.

Miranda will discuss the neuroscience and explain the diverse chemical reactions in the brain when experiencing contrasting feelings of stress and motivation, and will provide you with tactics to help you to understand the feelings and fears of your staff, while providing you with tips and strategies to help you establish trust, boost motivation, and productivity in the ‘new normal’.

This event is FREE and open to members and non-members. All welcome!

Miranda Robarts-Arnold

Miranda Robarts-Arnold has been working within mental health for 20 years. Most of that time was spent in the world of homelessness where she encountered and supported clients with complex needs, ranging from depression and anxiety through to schizophrenia. Addiction problems were common. She became increasingly frustrated as she saw her clients struggling through the statutory mental health system which is stretched to breaking point. She often saw those that she supported coming out of therapy sessions in tears and feeling worse which seemed somehow pointless. She discovered Solution Focused Hypnotherapy while she was struggling to pass her driving test a few years ago. She could drive fine, it was just the test that was awful and sent her into complete panic. She found a local Hypnotherapist and she explained why the nerves existed and Miranda passed on the next go. The explanation given by the hypnotherapist about how anxiety is created was so sensible that it caused light bulbs to go off in Miranda’s brain and she decided to train to become a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist. She trained at the Clifton Practice which is the leading hypnotherapy training centre in the UK. She is involved in ongoing research into the efficacy of hypnotherapy and it is her hope that she will be able to bring this research to the attention of the medical establishment and make a positive impact to the NHS.
