Mabbett is a leading safety, environment and engineering consultancy company helping customers deliver on their sustainability, environmental and safety goals.

Why were they nominated?     

Mabbett are focused on collaborating and delivering value for their partners in both Scotland and Ireland.  Their focus on sustainability and their proactive work on the Irish market is a shining example to other Scottish exporters. 

Through their hard work and commitment they continually progress the relationship between Scotland and Ireland and this will be evident for years to come.  They play a significant role in the proud tradition between Scottish and Irish businesses.

What have they achieved? 

Following their participation in the Trade Mission from Scotland to Ireland in 2018 they announced a significant win (c.£1M) with Bord Bia.   They were appointed to verify all Origin Green sustainability plans for accuracy, robustness and credibility for a multi-year contract. 

Mabbett have successfully completed more than 200 audits across Ireland and their success doesn’t stop there.  They continue to visit the Irish market regularly and this has resulted in the company securing contracts with Bord lascaigh Mhara and Kerry Group. 

An initial energy audit to identify energy saving opportunities was bid for, and won, from Bord Iascaigh Mhara to support fish processing plants. From this success, Mabbett bid for, and again won a follow-up piece of work to further provide energy and low-carbon consulting to the sector across up to 10 companies across Ireland and making them more sustainable and competitive in the process. 

Mabbett has directed significant effort and resources into the market and they now have a local Mabbett office based in Naas, near Dublin.
